Developing an Effective Drainage Solution

CS Plumbing designed and implemented a gravity-fed French drain system tailored to capture and redirect water before it could compromise the home’s foundation.

The project encompassed several critical elements:

A French drain system carefully crafted to gather surface and subsurface water from neighbouring properties, directing it by gravity to a concrete pit.
A 100mm PVC pipe extending from the pit to the curb, equipped with strategically drilled holes in the curb to facilitate efficient water discharge.
Three new, larger-diameter Colorbond metal downpipes replacing the original smaller pipes, linked to new 100mm PVC piping that leads to the curb.
A retaining wall system constructed along the boundary, employing concrete sleepers and galvanised steel posts, with auger holes drilled using an excavator to create a robust barrier to hold back the adjacent yard.
Streamlined soil removal on-site, assisted by a dumper for efficient site management.
